Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatches of the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation. If you already wear a Tilbury foundation, you may find you want to go one darker. I am usually 3, and matched myself to 3 Cool, but Charlotte took a look and thought I’d do better with 4 Neutral. I now have them both and will have a play and decide.

If I had to choose one shade out of the ones I have, it would be 4 Warm. As there is no mention of SPF, it’s hard to compare it to a CC cream, but it does resemble the IT Cosmetics CC cream in texture. I’d say that the coverage of the CT is more natural looking, and less full.

The Light Wonder is my current go-to for a luminous look (at times, a little too luminous but y’know) and it is indeed very skin-like. There is adequate emollience in the formula to disguise dry or flaky patches and it’s relatively kind to pores (although it’s not a silicone-laden-pore-filling-formula, a la Armani Foundations). I personally find it lasts most of the day and wears very naturally without patching. It lasts even better when powdered but I haven’t really been bothering with this as I haven’t been out that much. Yes, this formula will definitely please the beauty junkies that love a bit of glow. It makes skin look healthy and hydrated and not greasy-looking. As you will see from the swatches above, there is a very soft shimmer running through the foundation to give it a good amount of glow. This is not something to be scared of, as it doesn’t translate on to the skin at all and instead gives a lovely flattering finish.
There is Rose Complex for dullness, dryness, pigmentation and dark circles, and Hyalurosmooth for uneven texture, dryness and dullness. I love pink and my style tends to be pretty natural. At the five hour mark, I’m craving a blot and I’m normal to dry.
I am combination – dehydrated with a bit of an oily t-zone – and it works well for me. You may need a good setting powder if you are more on the oily side. It is more of a full bodied formula, slightly thicker in texture and fuller in coverage, but it gives a dewiness that LW also delivers.

I have combination skin and I love it but if you are oily it might be too much. It does have more coverage than say, a tinted moisturiser. I suspect that this formula is abundant with light reflective particles (not shimmer) as it deflects shadowy areas – very ‘youthful’.
