High temperatures will jump back into the 60s and a few lower 70s for the day, before another weather maker brings more wet weather to The Badger State late Wednesday night. Work will continue throughout the summer, with sections of long-term parking being closed one at a time. Depending on the weather, all the lots are expected to be done by the end of the summer.

(WBTV) - One more completely dry day is ahead before rain and storms move in Friday night into the weekend. Charlotte gets some kind of precipitation, on average, 105 days per year. Precipitation is rain, snow, sleet, or hail that falls to the ground. In order for precipitation to be counted you have to get at least .01 inches on the ground to measure. High pressure will race in behind the low pressure system for Wednesday, which should help to move the cloud cover out of Wisconsin for the afternoon.

Very windy conditions return for the end of the week and will continue throughout the weekend, with another round of showers and storms arriving late Friday night and continuing into the day Saturday. The beginning of the Wisconsin Fishing Opener looks to be a bit wet and windy, with more showers on the way for Saturday morning and afternoon. It is important to note that at first with scattered storms, we think the primary threats will be large hail, damaging winds and a few isolated tornadoes.
We will continue with the storm threat into our Wednesday and Thursday forecast. The severe weather activity lies much more concentrated to the west rather than within our viewing area. We still see a marginal risk for severe storms developing Wednesday and Thursday with the main threats of damaging winds and hail. Which means some of the storm cells may produce winds of 50+ mph with hail the size of quarters in diameter or larger. As we will see the potential for rain Tuesday through Thursday, there is another round of flooding concerns. Within the three day span many areas have the potential to pick up 1″ to 2″ of rainfall.

We keep up with the 80s for Friday with dry conditions to begin the day. Depending on the timing of a cold front, it appears a few showers/rumbles of thunder could work in late Friday evening before really ramping up over the weekend. By Friday, an isolated thunderstorm or two will be possible, late. Anticipate scattered showers and storms both Saturday and Sunday. Another front will enter Sunday and this may bring additional clouds with scattered showers and storms again. We believe Saturday will be the wettest day for this weekend, but we will continue to see how the trends go as we advance throughout this week.

Crews will start paving on Wednesday in the short-term parking lot. Everyone will have to park in the long-term parking lots while the short-term is closed for construction. The airport reported plans to expand the parking lot earlier this year. We expect to dial down to the lower 70s Friday but still isolated shower and storm activity chances are about 20 to 30% clear through the weekend. In all, eight law enforcement officials were shot, including two correction officers who were killed and a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer who was critically wounded and later died. Three other Charlotte-Mecklenburg officers were also shot. Can’t rule out a few storms before midnight mainly in north-central KS but for most areas the storms will hold off until after midnight. Then the question is how long will the storms last into Saturday. Most models have Saturday afternoon dry with Sunday dry as well as most of the rain stays in southern KS on Sunday but the European model is still indicating rain on Sunday so keep checking back for updates on this part of the forecast.
